About the role

At Cal.com, we are building the future of scheduling. We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Foundation team at the IC4 level. In this role you'll carry the engineering vision and leadership set by the Head of Engineering and the Foundation team into the product team you're paired with, mentor engineers at every IC level, and work closely with collaborators both inside and outside the team. Your work sets the technical bar for how we build and ship. If you bring deep technical judgment, strong system design instincts, and a love for the harder problems no one else wants to own, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do

• Review high-risk and complex pull requests from product teams

• Ensure PRs with your oversight go out smoothly in our daily releases

• Investigate and fix complicated issues in our system (think round-robin algorithm logic that has to work across time zones but taking into account all sorts of configuration)

• Embed with a product team through their milestones, supporting feature design and implementation, turning around code reviews quickly, and bringing the Foundation team's engineering standards into product work

• Push the team forward in terms of code design and quality. Experience with clean coding principles, DDD and event-driven systems is a must.

Must have

• 8+ years shipping work inside a TypeScript or Node codebase

• Working in the Americas time zones but in a globally distributed team

• Comfort being on call and leading incident response in your area

• Experience with clean coding principles, DDD and event-driven systems
